Construction workers at the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant completed the final concrete placement on the main weapons-processing building – the culmination of a nine-year design and construction effort. Workers have installed nearly 2,095 tons of thick reinforcing steel and encased the infrastructure in more than 12,400 cubic yards of concrete.
This is a major construction milestone for the facility.
