    MWR Achieves Accredited Status for Second Time

    Naval Support Activity Bethesda’s Morale Welfare and Recreation achieved its second consecutive “accredited status” after the Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) MWR Accreditation Team made an onsite visit May 14-17. The accreditation program reviews the performance of Navy MWR program standards, leadership, customer service, financial performance, personnel development, innovation and process improvement.

    Think Safety During Critical Days of Summer

    Before heading out on the road, firing up the grill or spending time outdoors, there’s a few safety tips the Naval Safety Center encourages Sailors and Marines to review in their annual “Critical Days of Summer” campaign. The annual campaign is a reminder of the unique hazards that come up during the summer months and encourages a safety-first mindset.

    NSAB Encourages Bike to Work Day Participation

    Naval Support Activity Bethesda Transportation Manager Ryan Emery is encouraging people to take part in National Bike to Work Day May 18. The event is part of a larger effort to get commuters to try bicycling to work as a healthier alternative than driving and taking the metro, while also trying to reduce traffic in the area.

    Teen Development, Coding Camps Registration Open

    Before finalizing summer plans, Naval Support Activity Bethesda’s school liaison officer (SLO) hopes people will consider two summer camps offered on the installation. One camp (free) will focus on professional development and education prospects for teens, and the other will teach children how to code (there is a fee for attendence).
