Twenty-six nations, 38 ships, three submarines, more than 170 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 29 to Aug. 4 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. MANZANILLO, Mexico – The future USS Portland (LPD 27), along with Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5 and other embarked Sailors and civilians, arrived to Manzanillo, Mexico for a regularly scheduled port visit Jan. 15.
While in port, Portland crew members will have a chance to participate in friendship-building and goodwill-generating activities and cultural exchanges.
