HIDOD is over 6,000 individuals strong and led by a director called The Adjutant General. HIDOD includes five divisions: the Hawaiʻi Army National Guard, the Hawaiʻi Air National Guard, the Hawaiʻi Emergency Management Agency, the Office of Veterans’ Services and Civilian Military Programs.

Hawaii National Guard Soldiers and Airmen respond to the 2026 Kona Low storms and subsequent severe weather across Hawaii from March to May 2026.
