The 37th Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. Christopher J. Mahoney, a native of Massachusetts, gives a gift to Mrs. Heather A. Warfield, the owner of 1775 Café de la Place, in Belleau, France on May 25, 2025. Gen. Mahoney traveled to France to participate as the senior U.S. Marine Corps representative at the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery for the annual Belleau Wood Memorial Ceremony to honor the legacy of fallen service members who gave their lives in the defense of the United States and European Allies.
