The Hawaii County has begun reconstructing Chain of Craters Road on the Big Island of Hawaii. The road is located in Kalapana, and had been overtaken by Kīlauea's ongoing Puʻu ʻŌʻō eruption (which is also the cause of the current Puna lava flow).
