The Pakistan-SEATO Cholera Research Laboratory was established at Dacca in 1960. The aim of the laboratory is to develop a program to control and eventually eradicate cholera. The United Kingdom, Australia and the United States (through AID) have provided funds, equipment, and technical and administrative personnel.
