What is Faces From the Front?
Faces From the Front is a Department of Defense public affairs program designed to tell the individual stories of Soldiers, Sailors, Airman and Marines serving around the globe to the American people through multiple venues and media. Formerly part of the Army’s Operation Tribute to Freedom program, FFTF is now administered by the Defense Video and Imagery Distribution System (DVIDS). Every week, DVIDS selects service members with compelling stories to profile. DVIDS Media Relations Specialists then pitch those profile stories to hometown, veteran and defense media outlets with the goal of placing the profile article and/or generating an interview opportunity. DVIDS also shares the profile via social media and posts it to the DVIDS public website.
