Located in southwest Oklahoma, Fort Sill is home to the U.S. Army's Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE), the Army's premier institution for training, educating and developing Field Artillery and Air Defense Artillery Soldiers and leaders. As a key component of the Army's Transformation and Training Command (T2COM), Fort Sill conducts Basic Combat Training, Advanced Individual Training, professional military education and leader development programs while serving as the Army's center for fires doctrine, capability development and integration. The installation is home to the Fires Center of Excellence, United States Army Field Artillery School and United States Army Air Defense Artillery School, preparing Soldiers to deliver lethal and integrated fires in support of joint and multinational operations worldwide. Fort Sill also preserves more than 150 years of military history as a National Historic Landmark and remains a vital contributor to readiness, modernization and warfighting capability across the Army.
The Field Artillery Professional Bulletin serves as a forum for the discussions of all U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps Field Artillery professionals, Active, Reserves and National Guard; disseminates professional knowledge about progress, development and best use in campaigns; cultivates a common understanding of the power, limitations and application of Fires, both lethal and nonlethal; fosters Fires interdependency among the armed services, all of which contribute to the good of the Army, joint and combined forces and our nation.
