Soldiers pilot Army fitness program; Central Indiana Boy Scouts of America donated more than $200,000 worth of popcorn to the Indiana National Guard and USO; 38th ID sends troops forward; Logistics Ball honors sustainers.
Camp Atterbury will play host to the U.S. Army North sponsored command-post exercise Vibrant Response and the U.S. Forces Command sponsored field-training exercise Guardian Response in April and May. The related exercises focus on managing expert chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosive forces designed to improve their ability to respond to catastrophic incidents. It is the largest and premier disaster-response exercise in the nation and includes partnerships between military — National Guard, reserve, active-duty — and civilian first-response organizations with more than 6,000 personnel.

Camp Atterbury to host Cyber Shield
For two weeks in April, National Guardsmen and Reservists from across the United States will descend on Camp Atterbury to take part in Cyber Shield, an exercise to train in cyber protection, network defense, forensic analysis, techniques and procedures to defend against cyber attacks, hackers and other malfeasant acts. Atterbury’s unmatched training opportunities include a live, full-scale, truly kinetic cyber range capable of conducting live, virtual and constructive scenarios. It also includes standard live-fire ranges for crew and individual weapon systems.
