FORT HOOD, Texas - Lt. Gen. Donald M. Campbell Jr., III Corps and Fort Hood's commander, will relinquish command to Brig. Gen. James M. Richardson during a ceremony at 10 a.m., Nov. 28, at the III Corps Headquarters' flagpole, here.
Congress confirmed Campbell for reappointment to the rank of lieutenant general and for assignment as commanding general, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, Germany, earlier this year.
Richardson is currently serving as III Corps deputy commander and will assume responsibility of III Corps and Fort Hood until Campbell's replacement arrives.
Media who plan to cover the ceremony must register here. The gate time for the event is 9 a.m. Media should report to the south side parking lot of the visitor's center.
