FORT HOOD, Texas - Fort Hood officials have released the name of a soldier who died of injuries sustained in an automobile accident Sept. 24 in Harker Heights, Texas.
Spc. Jong Dal Lee, 21, whose home of record is listed as Arcadia, Calif., entered active-duty service in April 2010 as an Infantryman. He arrived at Fort Hood in August 2010 and was assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, since September 2012.
Lee deployed in support of Operation New Dawn from June 2011 to January 2012.
Lee's awards and decorations include the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Meda, Army Service Ribbon and Combat Infantry Badge.
