    What: The 99th Regional Support Command is hosting a ground-breaking ceremony for the new Commissary at Coraopolis

    Mr. Rich Fitzgerald, Allegheny County chief executive
    Mr. Joseph Jeu, director and Chief Executive Officer, Defense Commissary Agency

    When: Friday, August 17 at 10 a.m. All media will need to arrive at approximately 9:30 a.m. for media brief and escort.

    Where: 99 Soldiers Lane, Coraopolis, Pa., 15108

    Background: The 99th RSC will host a ground-breaking ceremony for the new $15 million, 43,000-square-foot commissary being built in Coraopolis next to the McGarity U.S. Army Reserve Center. This new commissary will serve more than 30,000 authorized shoppers (service members, military families and retirees) within a 40-mile radius of the store.

    The 99th RSC provides base-operations support to all Army Reserve soldiers, civilians, families, units, facilities and equipment for the entire Northeast Region of the Army Reserve. Specific services performed include management of human resources, logistics, finance, facilities, equipment maintenance, information technology and those well-being functions typically provided by Army installations.
