FORT HOOD, Texas - The 120th Infantry Brigade will receive a new commander during a change of command ceremony scheduled for 8:30 a.m., Friday, June 22, at Cameron Field near Division West, Building 410.
Col. Timothy Bush will replace Col. Gary Brito, who has commanded the 120th since July 2010. Brito will move on to become III Corps and Fort Hood's director of operations.
Bush is a recent graduate of the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, PA, and just completed a fellowship at the University of Texas at Austin.
Visitors may obtain a one-day special event pass and directions to Cameron Field at the Marvin Leath Visitors Center on T.J. Mills Boulevard.
In case of inclement weather, the ceremony and reception will be held at the Division West 25th Street Chapel, Building 10041.
The 120th Infantry Brigade's mission is to plan, coordinate and execute post-mobilization training of National Guard and Army Reserve units. Since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, the brigade has trained more than 40,000 service members for overseas deployments.
Media representatives interested in attending the change of command ceremony should arrive at the Fort Hood visitor center no later than 7:45 a.m. to be escorted to the event.
