    HELMAND PROVINCE, Afghanistan - The Afghan National Army 215th Corps conducted clearance operations, June 4, in the Sangeen district of Helmand province resulting in eight insurgents killed and two others wounded. Also in Sangeen, they arrested six suspects and seized a vehicle full of explosive, which was safely destroyed.

    On June 3, further clearance operations resulted in the discovery of an IED cache including pressure plates, remote controls, batteries and 300kg of explosive, which no longer pose a threat to civilians.

    Similar operations in Motazakera district, June 2, resulted in one insurgent being killed. Additionally, two IEDs were found and dismantled in the Marja district, June 2 and a five more the next day in the districts of Washeer and Motazakera.
