    QALA-I-NAW, Afghanistan — This morning the Spanish PRT was visited by the current ISAF Joint Command second in command, the Spanish General Javier Cabeza Taberné.

    Accompanying the delegation also traveled the Regional Command West HQ Chief Of Staff Spanish Col. Carlos Ovejas, the Military Assistant of the Major General, Col. Rafael Montilla and other Spanish officers from RC-W.

    The commission arrived by plane at Qala-i-Naw airport and, upon arrival, were received by PRT Commander, Col. Demetrio Muñoz Garcia, and the Spanish contingent Public Affairs Officer Lt. Col. García-Calvo.

    Initially, the authorities went from the airport to colonel's office, where they held a private office with the PRT commander. Then, in the meeting room along with the rest of the staff were briefed on the general situation to the different units, and type of activities and tasks carried out by the Spanish contingent. Other speakers including the civilian component of the Spanish PRT, the POLAD José Luis Díez and the Spanish Cooperation Agency representative David Gervilla.

    Later, they went to the Russian Hill, name that recalls a position occupied in the pass by this army in Qala-i-Naw. From the top, there was a general overview of the area. To continue, they visited the facilities of the Spanish contingent emphasizing the PRT tactical operational command posts.

    After signing the Spanish forces honour book, the commission traveled back to Kabul via Herat.
