NAPLES, Italy - Adm. George Zambellas, DSC, United Kingdom commander-in-chief, Fleet and Commander Allied Maritime Command Northwood, today visited Headquarters Maritime Command Naples for the first time.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize himself with Maritime Command Naples and to be briefed on issues regarding the merger of the two maritime commands into a single unified maritime command as part of the new NATO command structure.
Adm. Zambellas was met by Vice Adm. Rinaldo Veri, Commander Maritime Command Naples, and rendered honors upon his arrival.
