KANSAS CITY, Mo.— The Kansas City District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded two more contracts to repair flood damage to levees along the Missouri River.
A contract was awarded to Cajun Constructors, Inc. of Baton Rouge, La., Feb. 9, for approximately $1.9 million to repair the Missouri River Levee System 455L (Buchanan County, Mo.) and 471-460R (Buchanan and Doniphan counties).
A contract was awarded to TJC Engineering, Inc. of Louisville, Ky., Feb. 10, for approximately $920,000 to repair the Bean Lake Levee in Platte County.
The notice to proceed is expected to be given to the contractors next week.
A total of five contracts have been awarded to date in the lower Missouri River Basin to repair flood damages from 2011 flooding.
