CAMP PATRIOT, Kuwait - At Camp Patriot, the staff members from the Morale Welfare and Recreation Department provide a broad range of fun and healthy fitness activities and services to military personnel.
No matter what job assignment soldiers have during this deployment, there are always opportunities for soldiers to take advantage of the abundant amount of activities offered by the MWR staff at Camp Patriot.
The activities are designed to cater to the diverse interests of the soldiers, whether that is physical fitness, watching movies or playing games. Soldiers use these events and resources as a means of unwinding from the grueling day-to-day stresses they endure.
Some of the local programs that B Battery soldiers have participated in include sports team events such as sand volleyball 4-on-4, full court basketball 4-on-4, ping pong tournaments, “Tug of War” team competitions or Individual Fitness Challenge competitions held at the gym.
For those who enjoy participating without a great deal of physical activity involved, other activities are available. MWR presents recently released movies in the movie theater tent, complete with theater-style seating and freshly popped popcorn to enjoy a snack while you take in a show. Movies are shown every day at three different times to accommodate the different sleeping cycles of soldiers.
