Q: What is your job?
A: My job is to repair air conditioning equipment for the units. This entails replacing filters, keeping the refrigerant levels balanced and keeping the equipment running in general.
Q: What’s your favorite aspect of your job?
A: My favorite part is going to the different units. I like going out in the field and helping the units by keeping the equipment cool.
Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job?
A: When the air conditioning equipment it can be get dangerous. Refrigerant is very hazardous to the atmosphere, so it is my job to repair it as quick as possible.
Q: How does your job support the mission of 2nd MAW and MCAS cherry point?
A: In the field my job is to keep the equipment from overheating. So in turn my equipment keeps their equipment cool or from overheating and crashing. Without my job a lot of the equipment in the field would be useless.
Q: How does your job in garrison differ from your job in the field?
A: In the field we really get to utilize our equipment. Everything has to keep running in the field so it's more high paced. In garrison we keep everything expeditionary ready. All of the equipment has to be ready to go at any time.
