3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division

WASIT PROVINCE, Iraq - Red Platoon, Bandit Troop, 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, has spent the past four months conducting counter-indirect fire and force protection missions around the city of Al Kut, Iraq.

Until recently, their mission included conducting many different types of force protection measures across the entire city of Al Kut. Now they are focused on the New Azza region of Al Kut, and they will be getting to know the local leaders there in order to continue a good relationship between United States Forces-Iraq and the local Iraqi Security Forces.
