    19th Public Affairs Detachment

KABUL PROVINCE, Afghanistan – Members of the 3rd Company, 1st Commando Kandak, conducted a unilateral cache recovery in Pol-e Charki City, Deh-e Sabz District, Kabul province, June 30.

The commandos recovered 13 anti-personnel mines.

The Kandak leadership believes these small scale operations will build the leadership attributes of the junior officers and non-commissioned officers, said a U.S. special operations forces team leader.

The Commando representative from the Ministry of Defense visited the Kandak to discuss future operations in Nuristan and Konar provinces. A SOF team leader stated it was nice to see the Ministry of Defense send a representative to the Kandak.
