MAZAR-E SHARIF, Afghanistan – The U.S. Army 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division changed authority with the U.S. Army 170th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, March 7, during a ceremony on Camp Mike Spann.
Commander, U.S. Army 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division Col. Willard Burleson turned over their area of operation to U.S. Army Col. Patrick Matlock, commander, 170th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. Commander, ISAF Regional Command North German Army Maj. Gen. Markus Kneip witnessed the change of authority.
