    FORT HOOD, Texas - Fort Hood officials have released the name of a soldier who was found unresponsive Feb. 7 at a residence in Killeen, Texas.

    The cause of death is unknown at this time.

    Spc. Dustin Irl Johns, 25, whose home of record is Crane, Texas, joined the military in November 2006 as a cannon crewmember and was assigned to 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood since August 2006.

    Johns deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from November 2007 to February 2009.

    Johns' awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal with campaign service star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon.

    Circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation.
