CONTINGENCY OPERATING BASE ADDER, Iraq – Sixteen soldiers with the 565th Quartermaster Company, 110th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 224th Sustainment Brigade, 103rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), were honored with battalion commander coins Jan. 6 at Contingency Operating Base Adder.

The coins were given by outgoing Lt. Col. David Scheideler, commander of the 110th CSSB, and a Beatrice, Neb., native.

These soldiers were each given a coin for outstanding work performed by taking the organization equipment rate of 45 percent to the rate of 95 percent in less than 30 days.

“I am very proud of my guys,” said Staff Sgt. Darren Jennings, platoon sergeant with the 565th QM Company, and a Jackson, Miss., native. “They have done an outstanding job getting the equipment up to standard.”

“It was well deserved; the soldiers worked hard, and I know they will continue to work hard,” said Capt. Matthew Sparks, commander of 565th QM Company, and a Denton, Texas, native.
