KABUL, Afghanistan – The International Security Assistance Force condemns today’s indiscriminate insurgent attack in Kabul city which killed at least two Afghans and injured at least 32 more.
Initial reports indicate an insurgent on a motorcycle detonated an IED in front of a hospital in Kabul city today. At least one Afghan civilian and one member of the National Directorate of Security were killed in the blast. The wounded include NDS personnel, several hospital patients and civilians.
“This vile attack deliberately targeted Afghan officials and civilians. We offer our sincere condolences to the families of those murdered by this attack, and we wish for a swift recovery for all those injured,” said Rear Admiral Vic Beck, ISAF Director of Public Affairs.
“We will continue our efforts to assist the Afghan government in bringing those responsible to justice.”
