KABUL, Afghanistan – Afghan National Security Forces and members of the International Security Assistance Forces secured two locations within the Gor Tepa region of Kunduz province to enable construction of two Afghan security forces checkpoints Jan.7.
The checkpoints are located in Larkabi and Qal’A Cha. They will establish a permanent security presence within the local area with the goal of enabling local residents the opportunity to travel safely.
Also, Afghan forces discovered and secured one weapons cache within the local area. The cache will be examined by local authorities.
