    KUNDUZ, Afghanistan – Soldiers from 1st Company, 5th Commando Kandak and Special Operations Task Force–East discovered a weapons cache during a presence patrol through Saray-i Qeslaq village, Kunduz province Dec. 31, 2010.

    The partnered-force was returning from a key leader engagement in Saray-i Qeslaq, when the cache was discovered in a freshly tilled field.

    The cache included more than 20 Russian and Chinese 82mm rockets, 10 recoilless rifle rounds, six rocket motors, five rocket-propelled grenade warheads with motors, a rocket launcher and miscellaneous small-arms ammunition.

    The cache was destroyed on site.
