    ZABUL, Afghanistan – Five insurgents surrendered, Nov. 8, to the Afghan National Police, who were combat advised by U.S. Navy SEALs, during a clearing operation in the Meydan Kalay village of Arghandab district, Zabul province.

    Meydan Kalay has been the staging point for indirect fire attacks on Coalition bases and on convoy routes in the vicinity of the village.

    During this ANP-led clearance operation, no shots were fired and there was no collateral damage sustained in the village.
