CARLISLE, Pa. —The U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC) hosted its fourth annual Army Expo from September 12 to 13, 2026, welcoming thousands of visitors to experience the past, present, and future of the Army. The free, family-friendly event showcased over 250 years of military heritage through engaging demonstrations, historic encampments, and interactive displays across USAHEC's 54-acre campus.
More than 300 authentic living-history reenactors brought various eras of Army history to life, featuring live tactical weapons demonstrations, historical cavalry movements, and different encampment displays. Highlights of the weekend included scheduled live tank runs of World War II-era armor and an explosive artillery fire demonstration from all eras of history.
In addition to honoring historical legacies, Army Expo ’26 offered a close-up look at modern military capabilities. Active-duty Soldiers showcased state-of-the-art tactical vehicles, while the U.S. Army Recruiting Division provided interactive equipment displays. The event also featured an immersive wargaming room, highlighting cutting-edge concepts that will define the Army of tomorrow.
The community-focused weekend was supported by live musical entertainment from "Riser Burn," the rock band detachment of the 82nd Airborne Division "All-American Band and Chorus," as well as local food trucks and a display by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
