El ALAMEIN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Egypt – The 2026 Egypt International Airshow will officially launch at El Alamein, Sept. 8, 2026, bringing together global aviation and highlighting the enduring defense partnership between Egypt and the United States.
As the host nation showcases its premier aerospace capabilities, U.S. military aircraft and personnel are participating alongside their Egyptian and international counterparts from over 80 countries to demonstrate a shared commitment to regional stability and multilateral cooperation with over 50 combined aircraft on display.
The United States is supporting the second iteration of this defense exposition with a display of cutting-edge U.S. military and civilian technology to further strengthen the U.S.-Egypt strategic partnership in the fields of military, commercial, and private aviation; aircraft manufacturing; aerospace technologies; and related industries.
U.S. military personnel and aircraft from the U.S. Air Force and the Texas Air National Guard will be participating alongside global allies and partners featuring advanced U.S. military cargo aircraft; tactical air-to air and air-to-ground combat fighters; as well as close air support aircraft.Assets include U.S. Air Force C-130J Super Hercules, C-130H Hercules, A-10 Thunderbolt II, F-16 Fighting Falcon and F-15E Strike Eagle.
Charge d’Affaires, ad interim, Eric Gaudiosi of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo noted, “The United States is proud to participate in the El Alamein International Air Show 2026 and to open the U.S. Pavilion, featuring more than 25 American companies from among the world’s leading aerospace and defense innovators. Our strong presence reflects the depth of the U.S.-Egypt partnership and our longstanding cooperation across the aviation, aerospace, defense, space, and commercial sectors. We look forward to building new partnerships and expanding opportunities that benefit both our countries.”
