Coast Guard conducts two medevacs on Isle Royale, Lake Michigan
CLEVELAND — The Coast Guard medevaced a 55-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man, both experiencing medical emergencies, from Isle Royale, Michigan, Wednesday.
Emergency services contacted Coast Guard Sector Northern Great Lakes watchstanders at 10:53 a.m., notifying watchstanders of two people requiring aerial transport from Isle Royale.
A Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew launched and arrived on scene at 2:05 p.m. The aircrew transported both people aboard the MH-60 to Marquette, Michigan, where local emergency medical services took them to a higher level of care.
