    Update: Coast Guard suspends search for missing man in Lake Erie

    CLEVELAND – The Coast Guard suspended its search at approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday for the missing 73-year-old man in Lake Erie off of Conneaut Harbor, Ohio.

    Coast Guard Sector Eastern Great Lakes watchstanders received a report at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday of an overturned 22-foot vessel with three people who entered the water approximately 9 miles offshore. A good Samaritan rescued two of the boaters, who were reportedly uninjured and in good health.

    Coast Guard assets searched a total of 9 square nautical miles for 7.5 total hours.
