    NAVFAC EURAFCENT Awards $10M Contract Modification for Deveselu Base Support

    NAPLES, Italy –Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Europe, Africa, Central (NAVFAC EURAFCENT) awarded a $10,055,309 modification to Vectrus Systems, LLC, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, July 23, 2026, to continue providing critical base operating support (BOS) services at Naval Support Facility (NSF) Deveselu, Romania.

    This action exercises the sixth option period of a previously awarded contract, bringing the total cumulative value to $70,597,06. The work ensures the continuity of essential services that support the Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System mission and the personnel stationed at the facility.

    "This contract modification is vital for the sustained readiness and operational capability of NSF Deveselu," said Alex Wingert, NAVFAC EURAFCENT Contracting Officer. "By providing comprehensive base support, we ensure our warfighters have a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment, allowing them to focus entirely on their critical defensive mission."

    The BOS contract provides for a wide array of services necessary to run the installation. These include, but are not limited to, facility management, fire and emergency services, unaccompanied housing, galley services, transportation, and environmental services. Work will be performed in Deveselu, Romania, and is expected to continue through 2027. Fiscal 2026 operation and maintenance (Navy) funds will be obligated on individual task orders as they are issued.

    Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command is the naval shore facilities, base operating support, and expeditionary engineering systems command delivering life-cycle technical and acquisition solutions aligned to fleet and Marine Corps priorities. NAVFAC EURAFCENT supports fleet commanders by providing engineering assessments and agile acquisition strategy, constructing and maintaining shore infrastructure, and maximizing force readiness to enhance warfighter capability. NAVFAC EURAFCENT serves as the engineering link between the shore and the Fleet in the European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility.
