    Signals Analysis Squadron transitions leadership
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio —The Signals Analysis Squadron welcomed its new commander during a change of command ceremony at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center’s Benson Auditorium, June 30, 2026.

Lt. Col. Mason Workman assumed command of the squadron, taking the reins from Lt. Col. Brian Branagan. Col. Paola Ondina, Global Exploitation Intelligence Group commander, presided over the ceremony, presenting the squadron guidon to Workman.

The Signals Analysis Squadron, or GXS, exploits complex electronic signals to prevent strategic surprise, enable joint military operations, and protect national security.

Workman’s charge is to accelerate the squadron's understanding of foreign signal capabilities and expand national intelligence reach in an increasingly contested electronic landscape.
