KABUL - Multiple intelligence sources and tips from local citizens led Afghan national security and coalition forces to the arrest of a suspected improvised explosive device trafficker in Kabul Sept. 18.
Afghan nationalsSecurity and coalition forces surrounded the compound where the suspected IED trafficker was located. After an unsuccessful call out, Afghan and coalition forces entered the compound and detained the insurgent without incident.
After identifying himself as the wanted IED trafficker, the insurgent was taken by Afghan national security forces for processing and further questioning.
