FORT BELVOIR, Va. (March 4, 2026) — Senior leaders from across the Department of War will gather this spring at the Warfighting Acquisition University to recognize innovation, excellence and mission impact during the 2025 Warfighting Acquisition Awards ceremony. The annual awards program features 23 categories honoring individuals and teams whose work strengthens the National Defense Strategy and advances the Secretary of War’s priorities. The Honorable Michael P. Duffey, under secretary of war for acquisition and sustainment, will preside over the ceremony, recognizing the outstanding contributions of nearly 166,000 civilian and military professionals who comprise the Warfighting Acquisition Workforce—including the approximately 30,000 members of the Army Acquisition Workforce. The awards highlight professionals from the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Defense Agencies and Field Activities whose innovation and modernization efforts ensure the warfighter maintains a decisive advantage. Among this year’s Army honorees are five exceptional teams and individuals:

    • Individual Achievement Award – Business-Financial Management: Jerad Mabon, PAE Fires, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
    • Individual Achievement Award – Flexibility in Acquisition: Austin Knighton, PAE C2/CC2, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
