FARGO, N.D. — North Dakota’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, or ESGR, will host a series of luncheons for North Dakota employers. Called “Lunch with the Boss,” the invite-only events will recognize employers who support the Guard and Reserve members who work for them while also serving their country.
The first luncheon will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14 at the Canad Inn in Grand Forks with Brig. Gen. Alan Dohrmann as the keynote speaker. Dohrmann recently returned from Kosovo, where he was the commander of Multi-National Battle Group – East, a major contingent of the NATO peacekeeping forces there. He has since resumed his duties as the deputy adjutant general for the North Dakota National Guard.
The following day, Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk, North Dakota adjutant general, will address employers during an 11:30 a.m. luncheon at the Fargo Air Museum.
On Friday, Sept. 17, the third “Lunch with the Boss” will take place at 11:30 a.m. at Williston’s El Rancho Motel dining room. Dohrmann will again be the speaker, and the event will be in conjunction with the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce.
While the luncheons are by invitation only for employers, media are welcome to come to learn more about ESGR or arrange interviews with the speakers or employers. The keynote speakers will be available for interviews 15 minutes prior to the start of the luncheons.
ESGR is a Department of Defense organization that seeks to promote a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees. ESGR’s mission is to gain and maintain employer support for members of the National Guard and Reserve by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the law, and resolving conflict through mediation.
