Measurements and Signatures Intelligence Analysis Squadron conducts assumption of leadership
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Dr. John D. Ellinger assumed leadership of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center’s Measurements and Signatures Intelligence Analysis Squadron as its new director during a ceremony at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Jan. 23, 2026.
In the ceremony, Col. Zarine E. Malesra, Geospatial Signatures and Intelligence Group commander, highlighted Dr. Ellinger’s leadership ability to guide the squadron as it continues its vital national security mission. Much like an assumption of command, the assumption of leadership ceremony is a time-honored tradition representing the formal transfer of authority and responsibility within a military unit.
