SOTO CANO AIR BASE, Honduras. – A C-5M Super Galaxy from the 433rd Airlift Wing Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, delivered90,000 pounds of humanitarian cargo to Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Jan. 12, 2026.
The shipment contained 33 pallets of medical supplies valued at $28,000as part of the Denton Humanitarian Assistance program, which is a Department of War and Department of State initiative that moves humanitarian cargo donated by non-governmental organizations to nations in need around the world.
For over 25 years, Joint Task Force-Bravo has been at the center of the Denton mission in Honduras. Getting this aid to the right place requires careful teamwork between military planners and local partners on the ground.
"Success in our mission hinges on the seamless collaboration between Joint Task Force-Bravo, U.S. Transportation Command, the U.S. Department of State, and the leaders of local non-profits. While the coordination is complex, the strong relationships we forge and the critical importance of the Denton Program make it all worthwhile, "stated U.S. Army MAJ Jacob Wilson, JTF-Bravo director of civil-military operations.
The612th Air Base Squadron offloaded the pallets, and JTF-Bravo personnel logged the cargo and coordinated its transfer to a local non-governmental organization, Helping Hands for Honduras.
Ronald Roll, co-founder of the organization, said the Honduran Army will help move the equipment to a warehouse. From there, it will be distributed to hospitals and clinics across the country.
“This program is truly incredible,” said Roll. “Without these Denton missions it would be near impossible for this aid to get to the Honduran people.”
This is the second Denton delivery this fiscal year after a ten-month pause in the program, demonstrating JTF-Bravo's unwavering commitment to being a good partner and neighbor to our partner nations and their citizens.
