SPARTANSBURG, S.C. — For First Class Petty Officer Chandler Price, serving as a United States Navy recruiter is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of others. A Denver, North Carolina native, Petty Officer Price has been proudly served in the Navy since 2018 and is now using his experience to inspire the next generation of Sailors.

As a recruiter, he works daily to connect motivated individuals with the many career paths and opportunities the Navy offers. His dedication to mentorship and genuine approach in guiding applicants has made him a standout within his command. Some of the recognition that he has received includes 3rd quarter FY25 Bakarian Award, which is giving to new recruiters who stand out within the first year, Heavy Hitter Award, Six Shooter Award and a Navy Achievement Medal.

When he first began his recruiting journey, everything was not smooth sailing. He struggled with connecting with strangers and was very timid. Due to his drive, mentorship, and his never quit mentality he was able to quickly get over that aspect of the job and was able to hit the ground running!

Outside of uniform, Price enjoys spending his free time in the kitchen, riding horses, volunteering and at the gun range. A passionate home cook, he often experiments with new recipes for family and friends. He also competes in shooting sports, where his focus and discipline mirror the qualities that have defined his Navy career. When he is not recruiting, cooking, or competing, he spends his free time volunteering with military veteran groups such as VETS helping VETS and the American Legion.

“I take pride in helping others reach their goals,” said Price. “Whether I’m helping someone start their Navy journey, perfecting a new dish, or training for a competition, I always aim to give my best. I just love helping others achieve their dreams, which is what the Navy is doing for me, so if I can guide those that follow me, I am living in my purpose.”

Price’s dedication to excellence—both personally and professionally—embodies the Navy’s core values of honor, courage, and commitment. Through his recruiting efforts, he continues to make a difference in his community while proudly representing his hometown and his country.
