WESTOVER AIR RESERVE BASE, Mass. --
Air Force Reserve Cyber Airmen from Westover Air Reserve Base, Mass. participated in the SANS Capture the Flag competition during Week One of the Cyber Yankee 2023 held at Camp Nett, Niantic, Conn. There they competed against 100 military personnel from the Army National Guard, Air National Guard, and U.S. Coast Guard.
National Guard, Brig. Gen. Eric Gladman (ret.), represented SANS and presented awards to the top six competitors which half were won by Westover’s Cyber Airmen.
SrA Steven Orozco-Ocampo, 439th Communications Squadron, placed 2nd in the competition.
SrA Nathaniel Mickel, 439th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, placed 3rd place.
Staff Sgt. Blaine Levine, 439th Communications Squadron, placed 6th.
