FORT GORDON, Ga.-- Noncommissioned officers across U.S. Army Cyber Command attended professional development training led by the ARCYBER command sergeant major October 9, 2025.
The morning started at 0630 with over 100 ARCYBER soldiers participating in physical fitness training led by ARCYBER’s Command Sgt. Maj. Jebin Heyse and his team.
“The goal of this NCOPD was to provide these leaders retrospect to see where they can improve,” Heyse said.
Earlier this year, Heyse met with senior leaders across ARCYBER to develop a plan to increase the lethality of soldiers within our formation.
“It's good to see how CSM focused on returning NCOs to their roots earlier this year by focusing on PT and standards," said Sergeant 1st Class. Joshua Van Dyke, a 17C and former drill sergeant within ARCYBER. “That level of foresight really falls into place within the current culture being reinforced by the Army and the DoW.”
The physical fitness event challenged over a hundred ARCYBER noncommissioned officers and encouraged friendly competition across the force.
“So much of the work we do has our soldiers spread across this base,” Heyse said. “It’s important to bring everybody together.”
The morning started at 6:30 a.m. with ARCYBER soldiers participating in physical fitness training led by Heyse and his team.
The second half of the training gathered the enlisted leaders in the Good Shepard Chapel for the leaders' brief.
Heyse discussed how the NCO Corps of ARCYBER needs to improve. He focused on three aspects to make that happen: the Warrior, the Professional and the Leader.
He also discussed the way forward with current policies and answered questions directly from soldiers about ARCYBER senior leadership.
“The idea behind this wasn’t to break new ground,” Heyse said. “I wanted leaders to share their knowledge.”
