    626 Spouse Challenge

Fort Campbell, KY- The 626th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) hosted its first annual Spouse Challenge on Oct. 9, 2025. The Spouse Challenge gave spouses an idea on what their soldiers' lives are like by having events such as throwing grenades, conducting maintenance on vehicles, team building and marksmanship.
“To do an event like these, where we can bring families and pool resources of this amazing organization to have fun and have a great day today,” said Lt. Col. Adam Di Giovanni, Commander of 626 BSB.
The event had each company have a team of spouses representing them and they each received a mission brief to kickoff the challenge where they must survive a zombie apocalypse and they had to work together to make it through.
“It was fun and exciting to be a part of it,” said Rebecca Dyson, spouse of a 626 BSB soldier. “My favorite event had to be the grenade toss by far. Getting to throw grenades at zombies and moving tactically was awesome.”
Each event had each team competing against each other for points and the team with the most points won. That team being Golf Company. They received a trophy, Certificates of Achievement and coins.
“We look forward to doing this again next year and hopefully with great feedback improve upon it, “ said Di Giovanni.
