FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kan. — The U.S. Army Combined Arms Center has been redesignated as the U.S. Army Combined Arms Command (CAC), effective immediately. This change underscores the organization’s expanded role in enterprise-wide command and control of Army doctrine, training, education, and leader development – ensuring a more cohesive and responsive force.
CAC will serve as a major subordinate element of the newly activated Training and Transformation Command (T2COM), strengthening the Army’s ability to rapidly adapt and modernize.
The mission, authorities, and support to the operational force remain unchanged. This redesignation is a key component of the Army’s ongoing transformation, emphasizing unity of effort from the generation of concepts and lessons learned to their practical application at home stations, combat training centers, and in classrooms worldwide. By streamlining command relationships, CAC will enhance the speed and effectiveness of delivering relevant, high-quality training and education to Soldiers.
Subordinate organizations and programs – including the Mission Command Center of Excellence, the Center for Army Lessons Learned, and other aligned centers and schools – will retain their current titles and missions. Public-facing products, signage, and digital platforms will transition to the new name over the coming weeks. The acronym CAC will remain the same.
