The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command recently hosted a Management Business Review, bringing together leaders across Army Materiel Command to discuss sustainment priorities, fiscal readiness and the command’s role in supporting Army transformation Sept. 3 on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
As part of the Army Materiel Command’s enterprise-wide review process, the MBR serves as more than a numbers check. It provides an in-depth look at performance indicators, resource alignment, and future requirements, ensuring that AMCOM and fellow Life Cycle Management Commands — including Communications-Electronics Command, Joint Munitions Command, and Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command — remain aligned with AMC’s strategic objectives and the Army’s modernization efforts.
The session provided a forum to examine financial posture, supply availability and depot workloads heading into fiscal year 2026. Leaders emphasized the importance of aligning decisions today with long-term readiness, particularly as the Army manages modernization, aircraft divestiture and evolving demand signals.
“Connecting near-term financial choices with future readiness outcomes is critical,” said Ms. Liz Miranda, executive deputy to the commanding general of Army Materiel Command. “Our goal is to ensure sustainment decisions today protect the Army’s ability to fight tomorrow.”
In their discussions, AMCOM leaders outlined performance trends, identified challenges, and highlighted adjustments underway to strengthen aviation and missile sustainment. These updates enabled AMC to share enterprise-level direction while reinforcing the value of collaboration across commands in shaping the future force.
In addition to strategic dialogue, several AMCOM Logistics Center employees were recognized with commander’s coins for outstanding contributions. Honorees included:
• Alicia Bell, Aviation Directorate
• Donna Atkins, Materiel Support Directorate
• Ellis Webster, Missile Directorate
• Jasmine Wright, ALC Industrial Operations Directorate
• Jerry Hebner, Aviation Field Maintenance Directorate
• James Henson, Aviation Field Maintenance Directorate
“These recognitions show the strength of our workforce and the impact they have on Army readiness,” said Don Nitti, AMCOM deputy to the commanding general. “From the shop floor to enterprise planning, every contribution matters.”
Together, the individual recognitions highlighted how AMCOM’s workforce innovations complement broader organizational goals. That same spirit of adaptability and forward thinking was echoed throughout the review underscoring how the command’s efforts directly connect to the Army’s Continuous Transformation Initiatives.
The review also reinforced AMC and AMCOM’s role in advancing CTI which focus on building an agile, data-driven sustainment enterprise. By connecting workforce innovation, fiscal discipline and integrated planning, the MBR demonstrated how continuous transformation is not a one-time effort but an enduring approach to ensure the Army remains ready, modern and adaptable to future challenges.
