TEMPORARY FLIGHT RESTRICTION AIRSPACE ANNOUNCED OVER MORRISTOWN AND BEDMINSTER, NEW JERSEY
TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – The North American Aerospace Defense Command will enforce the Federal Aviation Administration-established Temporary Flight Restriction areas over Morristown and Bedminster, New Jersey, from Sept.12 -14, 2025.
If required, NORAD fighter aircraft will respond to aircraft not following proper procedures within the TFR, a scenario we encourage all pilots to avoid.
Following an excessive number of TFR violations earlier in July, general aviation pilots are reminded that checking NOTAMs before each flight is required by the FAA and TFR procedures must be followed.
General aviation pilots are reminded to verify all FAA Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs) before every flight; specifically, FAA NOTAMs 2127 and 2130 for the Morristown, New Jersey, region and FAA NOTAMs 2089 and 2104 in the instance of the Bedminster, New Jersey, region.
Pilots can access the most up-to-date information published by the FAA at https://tfr.faa.gov/.
