The construction of the road began Aug. 6, 2025, totaling 27 days of work. This key road connects the main roads of Baturaja to an airborne landing zone, enabling training and medical personnel to travel to and from the landing zone efficiently and effectively.

“This newly repaired road will not only facilitate mobility to support TNI training activities, but it will also ease open up additional transportation access and improve the flow of the local economy,” said Nurdika.

The road demonstrates the U.S. military's commitment to its partners and enhances the community's and TNI’s ability to move throughout the area

“Projects like this that we do for the community truly builds friendship,” said McBride. “It’s that friendship that is going to be the foundation of the U.S., Canada, and the TNI that is going to push Super Garuda Shield further in the future.”
