    916th ARW Hosts IRR Muster

Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina – The 916th Air Refueling Wing hosted an Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) Muster on August 16, 2025, welcoming 68 local members from within a 120-mile radius.

Airmen serving in the Regular Air Force or as Traditional Reservists incur an initial eight-year service commitment. Those who separate prior to completing the full term are placed in the IRR for the remainder of their obligation. Members assigned to the IRR remain a critical element of the nation’s mobilization force. In the event of a national emergency or operational requirement, they are subject to active duty recall.

The event featured representatives from Military & Family Readiness, TRICARE, Military OneSource, the Vet Center, the Reserve Organization of America, and the 916th ARW Recruiting Office. These organizations provided attending members with resources, guidance, and information on the benefits of re-enlisting in the Air Force Reserve.

Colonel Diane Patton, Commander of the 916th ARW, and Colonel Charles Trovarello, Commander of 916th Mission Support Group, delivered remarks emphasizing the wing’s dedication to supporting Airmen in their professional and personal development. Their messages underscored leadership’s commitment to ensuring the continued success of the wing and its members.

The muster reaffirmed the Air Force Reserve’s commitment to its members, ensuring they remain informed, prepared, and connected as part of the larger Air Force mission.
