Senior leaders from V Corps and NATO partner forces came together Thursday during LANDEURO’s Warrior’s Corner to discuss how they’re building allied warfighting capability in Europe.
U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Charles Costanza kicked off the presentation called “Building Allied Warfighting Capabilities in Europe.”
“When we say we have challenges with interoperability, that’s true,” said Costanza, commanding general of V Corps. “But when we get together to go fight, we figure it out.”
Costanza emphasized that V Corps doesn’t just train with NATO allies, it walks alongside them, supporting the integration of newly acquired systems like M1A1 Abrams tanks, HIMARS and AH-64Apache. Through joint initiatives and warfighting symposiums, the corps helps European partners build sustainable, modern combat formations.
Polish army Maj. Gen. Maciej Jablonski, V Corps' deputy commanding general for interoperability, reflected on Poland’s transformation since 2020, when its military began reevaluating its warfighting doctrine. With the acquisition of advanced U.S. systems, V Corps played a key role in helping Polish forces adapt.
“The Polish army could not be successful without the amazing support of the U.S. Army, V Corps and the Rotational Units,” Jablonski said.
The event underscored how partnerships between allied militaries, supported by defense industry innovation and sustained training efforts, are reshaping the landscape of European land power ensuring readiness and unity in the face of emerging threats.
